OS925 Opera

Created by a single craftsman, each part is meticulously and skillfully shaped by hand to create an instrument rich in overtones and wide in its dynamic range. The Opera series is available only on special order and allows the flutist to specify every detail of his custom-made instrument. From the height and the angle of the keys to additional trill keys and individual fine engraving.

The Opera .925 sterling silver flute is flexibel in its use.

The tone holes of the Opera series flutes are always soldered. Soldered tone holes are sculpted seperately and then soldered precisely on the tube. This method creates an even and identical wall of the tube and offers an even more direct response as well as a greater stability of the body.

Continuing A Tradition of Innovation, French pointed arms from .925 sterling silver are combined with Pearl's Pinless Mechanism and the One-Piece Core-Bar construction resulting in the highest possible precision.

The most essential acoustical element of every flute is the headjoint, enabling the flutist to control the tone. Therefore not only experience in crafting is needed, but an understanding of the art of flute playing is demanded. In cooperation with world leading flutists like Benoit Fromanger and Janos Balint, the craftsmen at Pearl have designed four exceptional handmade headjoints, making it possible to meet your expectations and find your flute.

The appearance and the response of this exceptional flute is the result of extraordinary crafsmanship combined with the modern technology of Pearl.

These elegant and perfect handmade engravings are possible on the keys and lip-plate.

The Opera flute is optionally available with gold plating. This brings a warm and dark element in the sound.

The tone holes of the Opera flute are always soldered.

Pointed arms both increase the stability and enhance the quality of the mechanism.

The Opera flute has an optional split E-mechanism that allows for secure attacks and smooth slurs to the third octave E.

Available with E-mechanism lever.

All models are available with in-line or off-set G key.

The C# trill key makes many trill fingerings easier and lets the high G#3 speak better. It also improves the intonation of both C#2 and C#3.

The One-Piece Core-Bar construction results in more playing comfort and less wear of the mechanism.

The G/A trill key makes the G3/A3 trill speak better (not possible in combination with the C# trill key).

The Pinless Mechanism ensures the stable connection of the mechanism and prevents it from corrosion.

The ergonomic D# roller simplifies movement of the right hand little finger.

Optionally available with C-foot or B-foot.
