Biography

Born in Valencia in 1972.  He made his firsts appearances as a soloist at the age of 15:  he played and recorded  for  T.V.E. the Ibert's "Pièce" and Gluck's " Dance of the blessed spirits" for Spanish National Classic Radio and he played too as a soloist with the chamber orchestras in Valencia and Sagunto.Member of the Henry Purcell chamber orchestra and of the Musical Union of Picanya, directed by D.Enrique Villalba.
Guest in several occasions of the J.O.N.D.E., reserve-flutist of the E.U.Y.O. and principal flute of the Young Musicians Orchestra in Valencia. He obtained the"Superior Professor in Flute" Title in the Valencia's Superior Conservatory of  Music "Joaquin Rodrigo"  with  D.Jose M. Sáez Ferriz and at the same time he got the license as military musician of the Division Maestrazgo Music in Valencia.
  He has attended to master-classes with Enrique Forés, Andrés Carreres-Lopez, Joaquin Constancio, Juana Guillém, R. Guiot, James Galway, Ida Ribera, Magdalena Martinez, Kate Hill, Peter Lloyd, P.I. Artaud , Antonio Arias and he had completed  his musical formation in London with Christine Messiter and Jaime Martín, and in New York with Julius Baker.
  Guest in several occasions of the City of Granada Orchestra, he gains the position of Co-Principal in the Galicia's Symphony Orchestra, being at the same time flute of its woodwind-quintet, he plays too the Mozart quartets and played as a soloist with the Orchestra twice.
  He has played on principal Stages in Europe, and with great Soloists such as: K.Zimermann, Alfredo Kraus, Mirella Freni, Manuel Barrueco, Dmitri Sitkovetsky or Antonio Meneses.
  He had collaborated assiduously with the Real Filarmonía of Galicia until his dedication to flute education:  Chamber Music and Orchestra professor in the E.P.M. in Viana do Castelo and since 1998  Flute and Chamber Music professor of the Galicia's Xunta, establishing his definitive residence in Moaña (Vigo's  Bay).
He gives master-classes in Rosal and in the 1st. Summer Course in Salceda.  Actually,he teaches at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Vigo and is also member of  the Agógica Quartet, with which he plays Mozart's Quartets.
  As an immediate project he has published an exercisesbook about flute technique.  Alex plays with a 10 K and 14 k gold Pearl Flutes, both with Forte headjoint.

Four outstanding handmade headjoints are available: Forte, Vivo, Calore and Vivace.

These elegant and perfect handmade engravings are possible on the keys and lip-plate.

The 14K Maesta flute is optionally available with gold plating. This brings a warm and dark element in the sound.

The tone holes are available either drawn or soldered.

Pointed arms both increase the stability and enhance the quality of the mechanism.

The 14K Maesta flute has an optional split E-mechanism that allows for secure attacks and smooth slurs to the third octave E.

Available with E-mechanism lever.

All models are available with in-line or off-set G key.

The C# trill key makes many trill fingerings easier and lets the high G#3 speak better. It also improves the intonation of both C#2 and C#3.

The One-Piece Core-Bar construction results in more playing comfort and less wear of the mechanism.

The G/A trill key makes the G3/A3 trill speak better (not possible in combination with the C# trill key).

The Pinless Mechanism ensures the stable connection of the mechanism and prevents it from corrosion.

The ergonomic D# roller simplifies movement of the right hand little finger.

Optionally available with C-foot or B-foot.
